I'm not in a rush to see Game of Thrones having read them but I hear the show is pretty good too. I don't get along too well with British humor either so the shows that you and others have recommended that are UK based are often duds in my book. I'll give them their fair shot, esp. if they're not comedy based.

You mentioned quite a few in your other post I'm not familiar with so when I get some time I'll do some digging. The likelyhood they get watched goes up immensely if they're on Netflix.
