Since you're talking about a well timed position in both cases (i.e. all other things being equal, which they never are), what it boils down to is which two anchors generate the most shots. And by 'shots' here I mean ones which generate a big equity swing when hit. I think I read somewhere in some relatively recent bg bot literature that a 2,3 anchor backgame does this better than any other double-anchor combo (the free ace-point forces more opponent checkers to bury there, stripping his points more quickly). However, it's important to realise that each backgame has different characteristics, so which 2 anchors are best is a 'moveable feast'.
