Double/Take

Blue is the favorite and this is his last chance to double as he will be doubled out if he doesn't hit one of the 23 shots. White has a very clear take since he will win at least 13/36 of the time with a redouble and the gammon danger is not large enough to be a deterrent.

Actually, this problem would be more interesting if Blue owned the cube. Then not redoubling is probably correct because Blue still has substantial chances of hitting (not enough to take a redouble) after he rolls one of his 13 misses. When Blue misses, White has 15 numbers which leaves a direct shot. There are 8 other numbers which buttons up the two blots onto his bar or 6 point which then has to be cleared.

Variants: 1) Shift Blue's 8 point to the deuce point. 2) Make Blue's 8 point with a checker from the mid point.
