Nice variants! (I also note with some satisfaction that you wrote 31Z instead of 31S.)

I'm not completely sure I agree with your "simple lesson," however, because it doesn't explicitly take into account the effect of the centered cube. To me, lesson #1 here is that in a potential early blitz, you must think about the cube action next roll when deciding on your checker play this roll. And by cube action I don't just mean what the computer thinks the cube action is, but what your opponent thinks the cube action is.
