Should the full definition of the particular PR algorithm be consistently given along with a reported PR?

If it matters, sure. As I understand it, the Danish bot norm is very careful to say exactly how it calculates the norm.

Note that sometimes we hear something like "a deeper look decreased PR from 4.12 to 3.98".

If John Doe does some analysis, gets 4.12, then cherry picks certain plays for further analysis and gets 3.98, then yes, something is wrong with the picture. Namely, John Doe cares too much about PR.

But more seriously, there are so many misconceptions floating around the BG community about the information coming out of the bots that I've given up trying to fight them all. It's hard for me to get excited about correcting a misconception about a statistic that I feel people pay inordinate attention to in the first place.
