I'd hit because the checker represents a lot of playable pips, which we may be able to take away by hitting and forming a prime. Then the most straight forward way to go about building the prime is continuing 10/5. If we get hit back, we'd have gained timing, and if we don't get hit back, we move towards our priming goal.
