Hit or no hit?

I hate to give up the mid point while holding anchor on 20. This game could go on for a while and loss of the mid could hurt.
The "obvious" move is 8/3, 6/3, but QF and the fact that this leaves quite a stripped position suggest that may not be right.
Ahead in the race suggests that 20/15 is the right 5, but then where to play the 3? 13/10*? 6/3? Or 4/1*? Too much for me.
Another idea I wouldn't have thought of OTB is 6/1*, 4/1. This forces white off the ace point and gains a tempo at the cost of giving up the 4 point. With white anchored on 5, the 4 point isn't as strong a normal anyway. It wouldn't surprise me if that was correct, but I'm pretty sure I'd play 8/3, 6/3.
