My first instinct was to make the safe waiting play, 3 (Digit3) = 8/3. If the Dillies rolled one of their point-makers, I would wish I had hit. If they did not, however, then they might have trouble playing safely. By patiently waiting, we might shake loose a blot on the very next roll.

Then I noticed that slotting could be a win-win for us. If we are not hit, great, but in case we are hit, we might make a needed anchor. We are already so far behind that an anchor could be a plus.

In any event, hitting gives us the benefit of a tempo. Barring doublets, the Dillies will be unable to improve their block.
