I can try but it may be forcing logic into a play. I will focus on what I think is more relevant:
Making the 9 pt leads to healthy flexibility. The 9 pt is another blocking pt in front of the 5 blot and 3 blot and if White doesn't anchor or hit next, Blue is ready to attack in the following roll.
As for hitting - I don't like it especially here because most 5s and 2s hit (especially with the made 2 that diversify the entering and hitting numbers), and some 3s anchor. Without counting, I see that most numbers either hit back or anchor in front of the 2 pt which doesn't help its value. If most numbers are good for White after a hit then why risk it, especially when Blue is out-boarded.
I would probably hit with the blot on the ace because if not hit back, White can either anchor on the ace or stay split which increases the value of the 2 pt. In addition, the numbers that hit in this scenario (5s and 4s) are duplicated with the entering numbers such that without counting you have fewer numbers that hit back.
