Whoever invented doubling.

Whoever invented the doubling cube.

Oswald Jacoby for the first good book on BG in the modern age.

Paul Magriel for the first modern analysis of BG.

Danny Kleinman for the first analysis of doubling (and much else).

Bill Davis for Chicago Point.

Bill Robertie for his books and Inside Backgammon.

Mochy for his tireless world wide promotion of backgammon.

Chris Bray for writing a newspaper column for over 20 years.

Gerry Tesauro for the first application of neural network technique to backgammon.

Stick for BG Online.
