Some great and deserving guesses to date.

We only established an American Backgammon Hall of Fame because we thought it would be most presumptuous of us to attempt to establish an international Backgammon Hall of Fame. We are doubtlessly, as a whole in the States, not as well informed of all international players to do an international Hall of Fame justice.

Perhaps, in the future, all of the national federations can come together to establish such an international Hall of Fame.

The idea with our American Backgammon Hall of Fame is that it would include Americans who have made significant contributions, over an extended tenure, through their play and/or other contributions -- such as authors, directors, and the like. This could be Americans who participated primarily within the States or abroad. Likewise, international players who have made significant contributions within the States would be eligible.

We're excited by this first step toward recognition of our history. Hopefully, it will only expand.
