Late to the party as usual, but perhaps I'm bringing the best bottle of wine. The best play here and the logic for it was submerged by the excitement of the aggressive hit. Even so many were to arrive at the correct play Bar/23 7/2 for all the wrong reasons, in the process overlooking the real problem. White must not make his 5 point. That fact is what blue should be aiming at.The hit would have been an obvious product of Bar/23.

How do I know this ? I beat up XG and he spits out the problem and the solution. Have a look at this

The answer is duplicating 5, well thats what XG told me,who am I to argue I must say it looks good to me. I did offer to share my wisdom, but what sane minded person would accept wisdom from a nonentity. I have mailed Xavier explaining my method in the hope that it could be implanted into XG. I am going to prepare an idiot sheet as to the process. Never again will there be the cry "why is my play a blunder" on bgonline. That is of course if you own XG.

Done just in time my parrot is advancing across the furniture, which is not compatible with his talons. Who would have children!!
