My job here it to teach. As I teach those to improve their thought processes I also improve mine. So... here we go ....

WTF good is making the bar point? Our opp's checker is on the 4 pt not the 1 pt and we also own our 1 pt. Our bar pt is totally ineffective here. So instantly you should see that 11/6 dominates making the bar pt and therefore the blunder of 11/7 8/7 doesn't make it thru the TC 1 ply filter. This is a step towards developing Giant 32 ability. Learn to reject nonsense plays.

Now back to the position. If our opp escapes his runner we are left blocked on the 3 pt and soon cubed. So that leaves 3 plays. 1) Your pick and pass; 2) 11/6 waiting; 3) 8/4x and 11/10 attacking and hoping to keep the opp busy while we improve.

There's no time pressure here, so I suggest setting up a board and looking at all 36 responses to these 3 plays.
