Seth's post confused me on first reading, too. He said:

Double-6 #'s hit with an 8;we can make 4 point,etc

Transaltion:

Double. 6 (of our 36 diceroll outcomes) hit Dillie's blot on our 12-point. We have several other good rolls that make our 4 point. That should be enough.

One thing I'm pretty good at -- putting more words than necessary into a post.
