Gary Fries and I played a doubles match in Pittsburgh 2006 that started past midnight.... Our opponents were Herb Roman and another guy that Herb got paired with that he did not know beforehand or at least did not know very well. Herb's partner was rolling and at one point they had a play to make that was fairly obvious which play was correct. The discussion took 20 minutes between about 1:20 AM and 1:40AM. We sat there quietly cheering for Herb's partner to just make the donkey play he was in favor of and pick up the dice....then finally he gave in to Herb and made the right play. So disappointing after all that time......

Doubles events need mandatory clocks!
