The play we want to make is 8/4*(2) 7/3(2). Is it too risky? Return shots are 16,26,25 and 22, seven rolls that sends a second checker back. In addition we have 11 that shifts in their home board, and 15,13,23 that hits loose on the back checker. That's 14 rolls that does something, and are dangerous. What about an alternative like 8/4*(2) 5/1(2)? That also hits and makes a four point board, but in the wrong order. Then I only see 26,35,36,32,22 and 33 as return rolls that hurt us, a total of 10. I think the difference of four rolls, and 3 vs 4 blots, is big enough to make this play better. If they dance, we are well positioned to fill in the remaining points. There might be other plays that accomplishes more for less risk, but I don't see them.

8/4*(2) 5/1(2)
