I am sticking with my original play, 8/4*(2) 7/3(2).

Compared to 8/4*(2) 5/1(2), it makes the much better quality board and the better prime. So the play should be better than the other play that makes a 4-board.

Among the plays that make a 3-point board (only), I believe 8/4(3) 15/11 is best, leaving a limited number of shots from the bar, most of which are hits inside. Compared to 22/18, it avoids the 33 disaster reply. So for the purpose of comparison, let me put 8/4*(2) 7/3(2) again 8/4*(3) 15/11.

8/4*(2) 7/3(2) leaves the same number of returns: 11, 13, 15, 16, 22, 23, 25 and 26 (14) against 11, 12, 13, 15, 22, 23, 25 and 35 (14). But it leaves more blots, and the 16, 26 and 25 hits are quite strong. However, we'd buy for that 7 more dancing numbers, and a much better follow up, with good possibilities to extend to a 5 prime.

So 8/4*(2) 7/3(2). And it does not look very close.
