I see three plays for the 4 after hitting 24/22*:

24/20 -- mainly this gives you an immediate shot at a second checker with opp's 31 roll but also costs with opp's 11.

13/9 -- the 9-point would be nice, but...

15/11 -- the 7-point is a lot better and this brings a second checker in position to make that most desirable point. Also, if opp would jump to our barpoint (or 9-point -- big swing) immediately we would much rather have the extra shooter on the 11-point.

24/22*, 15/11 sure looks like it brings the most value to Blue's position.
