I'm pretty sure my statement is correct. If there was no cube you would win a tiny number of g's after being hit, but very few. Cube ownership enhances the underdog's wins so the ratio of extra net g's/extra losses does have to be > 2/1 for the favorite to make a play that increases both gammon wins and single losses.
