Gridgammon question - match save inconsistency

One thing I don't like about gridgammon is that it's erratic about saving matches. It appears that I need to sit at a table for several minutes before a match gets saved to my computer. Do any of you have the same problem, and what do you do about it?

Yesterday I played a lengthy 11 point match that was only partially saved to my computer. I stayed at the table waiting for a "match saved message". A popup appeared inviting my opponent and I to play another match. My opponent left. I closed the popup. That caused the table to be closed and the lobby to be displayed along with the "match saved" message, but only the first half of the match was saved.

I never have this problem when I play on Safe Harbor.
