Would the advocates for the new rule state how they would rule Ken's two examples?

I am not 100% sure on either one. I'd be inclined to say the first example is cocked, and the second example is valid. But it just feels too subjective for comfort.

I suspect that if the new rule were stated such that dice flat on checkers could have no contact with the wall, then almost all ambiguities would be eliminated. It seems like the combination of on top of checkers and contact with walls is where most of the uncertainty lies.
