XG++ verses rollouts

As some of you are aware, I am rather fond of verifying a position with a rollout. I have just received my copy of "Pure Strategy" by Marc Olsen where all of the positions are XG++. Are there classes of positions where XG++ is stronger/weaker than a 3 ply rollout?
