They are great boards and well deserving of such a award and the well deserved praise. Congratulations!!!

Since no one else mentioned it, I will.

Tom Buckner who I have spoke to on one occasion and exchanged a few emails with last fall and winter caught a case. I mention that to illustrate that i've met him but don't know him(i'm not picking sides) The press release I saw was dated May 29th and I was not aware of it until Carter mentioned it here in some thread about rules a couple months later. Why so long? Was there a trial in a secret room somewhere? P-40 appeared to get executed by everyone a couple months later.

I looked at the USBGF website and P-40 was gone in August mot May 29th, I looked at Phil's emails and poof no more P-40. Vanished. Gone. From everywhere it appears. hmmmm??? Like I said a couple months. What happened during that time? why the delay? Or nobody notice?(that would be me). Or was that time used to figure out how to handle this situation?

I fully understand that the case against Tom is very serious and he plead guilty to a crime or crimes. I only read articles not court docs, so I dont have perfect information on his situation. How he got into that situation in which he plead to isn't mentioned anywhere. The crime(s) he plead guilty to and will serve time for are bad, when he is sentenced we will hear what he has to say. I believe he will serve his time and rebuild his life-that is my opinion.

Here are the real questions,

Did P-40 commit a crime?

Did Tom harm the USBGF?

Will his crimes and damaged reputation harm the USBGF? in the form of Reputational risk? Was this discussed? we seem to be discussing everything but BG nowadays.....

His personal reputation I know has taken a huge hit, so while Tom is a hot spot personally is P-40 the bad guy? Who owns P-40? If Tom owned P-40 you can be sure the Govt would have ceased the asset(P-40) if Tom couldn't pay his restitution. Looks to me like P-40 is still in business. If there was one spec of collusion between Tom's crimes and P-40 the Feds would have ended P-40. That's how the Feds do it. There is no selective enforcement, they get the criminal and ALL his holdings, operations etc. And that didn't happen.

If P-40 was a criminal P-40 wouldn't be building boards today, the site would be gone with a nice little Federal Seal where it used to be.

So why is P-40 paying the price for crimes it didn't commit?

I don't believe Tom Buckner and P-40 are the same entity and are not one and the same. Yes Tom founded it, yes Tom funded it, Yes without Tom P-40 wouldn't exist. But again its still there because P-40 DID NOT COMMIT ANY CRIMES!!!

So why throw the baby out with the bath water?

I don't have the answers to these questions, i'm just asking. My writing skill isn't as good as most people here, i'm well spoken, never learned to write so i apologize in advance for my poor writing.

I have my opinion on this matter, which counts for nothing. I'm not taking a stand at all. I just want to know how Tom & P-40 got tossed when they are 2 separate things? Or appear to be. I understand the integrity of the USBGF of which im a member of-even though my name isn't on the site any longer(not sure what happened-technical glitch i suppose)
