One licence per PC is not bargain. Many people has at least 2 computers, so $50 become $100 or even more which is a little bit different than GNUbg prize. Also some mistakes on eXtreme website about GNUbg which Stick mentioned are realy unfair (like more core support, which is better on GNUbg than on eXtreme or doing rollouts in bach which is GNUbg new feature etc). Parallel rollouts are also very important and I think non-geek users prefer it too. Snowielike ER become standard and people like it also.

It is true that eXtreme is probably easier to use for beginiers (it's interface is similar to Snowie) than GNUbg but for people whoe are already GNUbg users it is harder to swith on new bot than to continue to use familiar.

Anyway I think eXtreme backgammon speed is it's killer feature and something which is definitely worth $50 and there is no need for marketing tricks. Also which bot is stronger is not clear in this moment without extensive bot battle like we already has for GNUbg,Snowie,BGBlitz and Jellyfish. My last complain could be about lack of documentation and some deeper explanation about settings (rollout parameters, filter etc.) but I like to see new bot in BG community and with such faster bot I hope we all can put our game on higher level.

GNUbg developerts, it is your turn now :-)
