I disagree. The box means a lot. Its the 'beating vegas' scenario isnt it. When you win you want to win big, when you lose you want to lose small. By being in the box, you have the opportunity to win big, by merely winning.

Of course the strongest player will typically do well, thats almost a given. The downside is that when the box drops, it can often be a 'score drop' which means hes had a run already, made a handsome net, and is positive enough in general points to be willing to drop what may be a technical take in a high volatility situation.

But, in general, the box is where the most action is at, and the best players want to be in that position, so as to increase their advantage over the remainder.
