"I didn't know Harvey was presenting anything on behalf of the USBGF. I blame somebody."
Someone who shall remain nameless called in to the Board meeting from a noisy bar when the plan for an announcement at the NY Metro was discussed. It is possible that these anonymous noisy patrons need to share the blame.
Since Rod was unable to attend due to unforeseen personal issues, Harvey stepped up. Actually, I didn't know he was going to do this either until right before the Calcutta. I spoke to him briefly at that time, and I think Perry did too to ensure we delivered the right message. Harvey did a great job.
"I wasn't around as much as others since when you go lose/lose/lose/lose/lose with ample time in there to rebuy to make sure you lose some more"
BTW, tell your sob story to Kit Woolsey who was obviously more motivated than you and managed to lose quickly enough to obtain the first rebuy and then lose quickly enough again to obtain the last rebuy. While he did manage to win a few times after that (when you and he finally win your rebuys and meet first round in the Main, one of you have to lose), he succeeded in making it to the money round twice and lost both times.
