As Justin noted, it's already coded in the US rules. This is something I never point out because I believe most people know they could win one game in a million and just don't give a shit. To point it out or try to make them play it out is somehow bad sportsmanship. They want to get on with the next game and you should let them. I also don't want to waste energy figuring out if it is actually gin or not if they resign, something I don't have to do with legal moves, it's either legal or it's not. It requires no extra work on my part.
