SURVEY Q8 - To what extent are you in favour of a World Ranking?

I agree with the need for corporate sponsorship. My belief is that if we had a worldwide organization and a world ranking, corporate sponsorship and maybe some television would someday follow. But, we need to ask the corporate people what they look for in events that they sponsor.

In watching sporting events on television it's interesting to note the plethora of stats that are bandied around about the players. In backgammon there's a paucity of stats that are kept. Perhaps if we improve our stat collecting, we could attract some sponsorship. That was the basis for my rants on the need for a worldwide ranking.
