Why have you spent several years of your life devoting all of your time to backgammon?
Personally, I have spent a lot of time playing and studying because I prefer to win and I believe there is some kind of correlation between how well I play and how much I win.
When I lose 1 or 2 matches that's ok, I can handle that. However, when I have losing streaks it always make me feel sick about backgammon. Losing streaks make me wonder: "Why bother to put in all the work if it's only possible to raise the win rate from 50% to 60'ish%, when that means I still have to put up with all the sick losses which occur 40'ish % of the time"?
