Are ABT Tournaments a big deal?

A "Director of Media Relations" or some other title that sounds official would be recognized by media outlets. The right person charged with the task of contacting media outlets could generate interest if ABT was presented in a current, exciting way. Like golf, boring game that is made exciting.
With a key person who is the "mouth piece" that can sell the idea to the media would only need minor details from the TD, specific to any tourney. The pitch to the media is the trick-make it exciting. The sizzle not the steak.
This really isn't complicated at all. Or particularly difficult. If I was a TD and wanted media attention(who wouldn't), one call to the right pedi is a gift for the TD.
This is a system, not a process that needs to be reinvented every tourney.
