According to The Backgammon Learning Centre (Phil Simborg being "I", I presume):

"This wonderful new book by Simon Hill (I was a considerable contributor to the technical content) can be yours free. All you have to do is lose to me in one of the several upcoming tournaments I will be playing in the rest of this year. If you lose to me, you have truly earned "Backgammon for Losers!" By the way, it's a great book and you can buy it from Amazon."
