''The best book on the market for the novice both in terms of its informative content and its style. There has for a long time been a need for a clear book for basic players to understand better how to become consistently good at backgammon. At last, here is a definitive and entertaining guide to playing and winning at backgammon.''
Michael Crane, British Isles Backgammon Association ( I think not a review but an endorsement with the book itself).
ByPhil Simborgon October 14, 2015 Format: Paperback I have read virtually every book on backgsmmon written in the past 60 years. When Simon asked me to help him edit and contribute to his book I was skeptical that the anecdotes and humor might sistract from the meat of the subject. I am thrilled to report that I was wrong.
Backgammon is the most fun game in the world and there is no reason that improving your game cant also be fun--in fact The stories and quotes in this book will help the reader remember the material better.
I currently have over 50 students and have taight close to 400--this book will become part of my course curriculum--a must read for all.
