There are a couple good reasons why you might not double ATS even though its technically correct to do so. First, the take is so clear here that there's very little bluff vig. If you don't double and your game improves to where you will have a stronger double, the opponent might then make an incorrect T/P decision. Secondly, your position figures to be harder to play than White's (not unusual since the side that's winning the game is usually the side that's harder to play). i.e. Assuming D/T, look at your next roll and ask yourself how you'd play these numbers: 66,63,55,53,44,43,33,11. Most of us would get at least some of these wrong. If you didn't have much confidence in how to play many of these numbers, not doubling is probably the correct decision.
