Exploiting LM rules?!

Our chouette rules in Boston have this:
14. If you roll before your opponent picks up his dice, the roll doesn't count, unless (a) your opponent’s move was forced (eg. he danced) or (b) contact has been broken, in which case the roll stands. In this case, the player who has not picked up his dice may make use of the his opponent’s roll information in completing his play. It is generally not polite to ‘speed roll’ on top of your opponent’s play at any phase of the game.
. . . this works well for us, but then, as a group we seem to be more agreeable than many chouettes seem to be from what I hear around here! If the pace gets too aggressive and someone is rolling a little early, it generally suffices to say "could you slow down your rolling a bit?" And in the bear off, speed-rolling would occasionally cost the roller equity by revealing extra information to his opponent, so it tends to self-regulate.
