The clever play here might be to cover the slotted four with the 2 and then slot the 7. That does a nice job of duplicating 2s and 6s which are both very useful on top's side of the board.

Another, and interesting, play would be to make the 4 (with the 4) and the 11 with the 2, leaving a blot on 8. Quiz factor plays a large role in even seeing this play but it does secure two good points, although at the expense of giving up the 8, which is usually anathema this early in the game. And leaving a three shot does not seem to duplicate much.

As a practical matter I would not have the courage to make either of these plays OTB. It would either be making the 2 pt or making the 9 pt. And I would probably make the 9.
