The thread is about a tiebreaker. I don't see much relevance when you quote point differentials between a player with an 0-3 record and a player with a 3-0 record. Of course the top of the table player will have a better point differential.
A player makes a correct free drop post Crawford. That player makes a correct decision, but has a lower expected average point differential because of the decision. Cube decisions happen often in match play where the correct decision gives lower expected average point differential, most of the time when the correct cube action is different at the score and for money. A player who thoroughly understands this is punished by a net points tiebreaker. Good match score cube action is about efficiency. A player who does well with match score type cubes will win a greater percentage of the close matches.
