As far as I know some numbers of people (about millions) in Europe during about 1500 years believed and "knew" (!!!), that the Earth is flat, staying on three elephants etc.

To your information: Crawford Rule was implemented from the first World Championship BG-tournaments in Bahamas and Las Vegas after 1970. Before that all matches in BG-tournaments (first was in early 30 of twenth century) played without this rule. ********************************* The critical arguments must be concrete and critic have to touch some weak sides of the idea proposed.
