Looking back at your original post I don't think you have explained your setup completely enough.

There are 6 matches played so is each player put into two different round robin groups of 4 players? If so they win from 0 to 6 matches (or get points as you described). So why is it specifically a 4 player group that needs to be tiebroke? What happens after the round robins? Is there an advancement to a playoff and if so how many players and what is the format then? How many players are you starting with?
