I like the rule and get annoyed when I'm playing without it and finding the game slowed down by dice on checkers, whether clocked or not. I also agree with Bill Riles and others that it would have been better if the rule never were implemented, because the gain from the rule is absolutely not worth losing a single player.

Of course you're free to do it, and there may be some value to it, but we shouldn't draw any conclusions from a "poll" that's just a thread on a site that the vast majority of backgammon players do not post on. So I'm not going to bother turning my mixed feelings above into a concrete vote.
