Agreed completely and urging others to try it for a while and see the superiority of this way.

Now if we encounter a bunch of issues telling whether a die on checker(s) is flat, then we'd reconsider. But so far that hasn't happened.

So to the complainers and the doubters and those reluctant to change. Try if for a while! Less re-rolling is a good thing and this rule also doesn't discourage players from rolling vigorously towards checkers when bearing off etc.
