I've played matches in MC years ago on those horrid small boards with the blue and white checkers where I myself cocked dice flat on checkers a few times in a row, maybe a dozen times during the match. The size of the dice used there (medium I think) and the thin checkers seem ideal for having the dice hop up on checkers.
