I, of course, agree. If someone was genuinely freaked out by the idea of having to play a person acquitted of murder then that player would not be "crying to the TD". Unless, of course, their real motive in approaching the TD was to try to get them to change their mind and subsequently ban the player (on the basis that the jury might have got it wrong).

I would say though that - if they were freaked out - then they should simply not play. They don't have to give a reason to the TD, even if asked. The TD can draw their own inferences, but hats off to that TD for putting the principle of 'innocent until proven guilty' before commercial gain.
