NY High Roller Event

It could even be argued that the first year an event takes place might draw more players than the second year depending on how successful that event was. There is a newness and lots of hype around new events. Once they happen though if they were nothing so special to speak of the next year will more likely have a fall off in turnout because the players who were involved are over it and the players who saw it weren't impressed.

Cough, cough.

The event had 20 people in 2016 and I can't remember who all entered or how many satellites were ran but I know everyone I can think of bought in directly. Only 11 people entered this year and ~half were satelliters. I never did get a fully straight answer from anyone on the people who played a qualifier to get in v. paid in full.
