In response to my first you were vomiting, now you're coughing. I hope this response of mine doesn't generate any other symptoms of illnesses, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Your initial point was that the 5% rake was excessive and whatever expenses generated by this event would be compensated for by the increase in attendance of lesser players due the popularity of the experts playing in HR event.

Now I presume your point is because of the 5% rake, and other factors you mention, the attendance in this event has shrunk from 20 to 11. But it is quite a leap to conclude that reducing the rake would generate sufficient income to make up the added expense.

Jeb pointed out to you the considerable expenses because of the need to start it a day ahead of time. You suggested the Wednesday start was unnecessary and should have been fit into the rest of the tournament schedule. Certainly, the organizers would have done so had they found a reasonable time period, but none was available.

Comparing attendance from one year to the next to see if one could discern any causal relationship was dismissed by you because you felt there were too many variables that had a potential impact on attendance.

For those that can stomach the stats for last three years of total players : 2016- 180, 2017-177, 2018- 213. I could not find another tournament in the U.S. that has drawn 213 player or more going back many years. To me that makes it a rousing success.
