In my opinion, the use of the 3 move ballot has hurt the game's (Checkers)ability to attract new players. GAYP (go as you please) games are nominally supported in the ACF, but in fact are almost non-existant. I know of a number of players who have given up the game solely because of the 3 move ballot.
