Boards and Money needed for Students

Perry and I are looking at all kinds of boards, and I agree with Barry....a decent board will be treated with better respect, played on more, and last longer, and as we all know, is simply more fun to play on.

We can get pretty decent 15" boards for around $40 and most college students would be willing to pay $20 to $25 for them--in this course they would not have to buy books. Perry and I were more than willing to pay the extra $15 difference ourselves, but now we're talking about a very large number of boards going forward, and I thought I would give my backgammon friends a chance to take part in the joy of giving along with us.

Someday I hope we will see a tax-deductible fund for this, but we need the boards now so I'm not waiting around.

In a few years I hope to see an interview with the new world champion saying he got his start at some high school or college club and on one of our boards.
