In Response To: 21S-43X question (Nack Ballard)

In which of the second roll positions below would you play Z (reverse split, 24/21 13/9) and in which would you play X (hit-and-split, 24/21 6/2*)? Is the answer the same in all three positions? If not, why not?

I'd play Z in 51S, 21S and X in 41S. Apperently differences come from opponent's builder checker- I can see merit of a tempo move in 41S due to powerful 9pt builder, but we should not be so affraid in 21S (11pt builder do not bear on us directly) and in 51S.

...any good?
