Blue's board is not strong enough to make the hit worthwhile. Substituting Blue's 3pt (which means that White cannot anchor there) for his 2pt should make the decision close. Substituting Blue's 5pt is definitely enough to switch over and justify the hit (i.e., I agree with Stick).
