Kangaroo count

The half-quadrant containing the 1-3 points doesn't seem to be covered in either the far sector, major or minor diagonals. If you've got a bunch of checkers on these points, must you add them in manually?

Fine tuning at the end takes care of that. Any checkers on the lowest three points have already been counted as being on the 2pt (Checkers everywhere are assumed to be in the middle of their half-quadrants.)

During the fine tuning, cancellations save time. Checkers on the 2pt are ignored, and an equal number of checkers on the 3pt and 1pt are ignored. If you have an excess or if you have nothing in that half-quadrant except (say) two on the 1pt, you can either call it +2 or better yet cancel it against two on the 24pt or 18pt or 6pt (for examples).

Cancellations on the same side of the board shift/cancel towards each other (e.g., midpoint vs 18pt, or 9pt vs 1pt). Cancellations on opposite sides of the board (near vs far) shift/cancel in the same left/right direction (e.g., midpoint vs 10pt, or 21pt vs 4pt) -- poof. It's takes a lot less time to do than it does to explain, and with practice you can become very fast, and that assumes you need to do the fine tuning part at all.
