This looks good.

I would only add these ideas:

  • It is possible to detect logic loops programmatically if the entire family is available for examination.
  • With H (Hit) and X (Hit and split) defined as a single, loose hits, it should be possible to implement these families.
  • With K (Kill) defined as a play that hits at least twice, but not necessarily loose, it should be possible to implement this family. Note that Hit/Most/Six requires hitting a 3rd and 4th time if possible.
  • The P (Point) family is cleanly defined. Although cumbersome, it should be possible to identify the members of this family.
  • Certain other families, for instance, ^ (Fan), < (Enter 1) and > (Enter 2) are also straightforward. There may be others.
